What would one of our parties be without some food? What type of theme (if any) should we have food the food?
How can the food tie into the other party themes?

I dunno..if were going to shoot for seriously traditional, maybe some research into the fall equinox and what foods were at the table during celebration. Though, I'm fine with the regular fare. Pumpkin pie, pumpkin ice cream (mmmm), pumpkin cheesecake all happen to be favorites For the dinner/snacks? I dunno. Did we plan on it being a dinner? Or will it just be snacks/party stuff (which might be alot easier)

Probably snacks and stuff. The theme idea comes from prior theme parties that have worked well. Examples include the Mars party, 4th of July, cinco de Mayo, etc.
If we go with a killer theme, then I would expect a lot of red gorey foods (they still need to taste good, just look bad). If we go with classic horror, the maybe wolfman biscuits, bloody marys, Franken wieners, etc. If we decide on the living dead, then we might see bone piles or zombie cakes. There are a thousand ways we can go.
If we don't do a theme, then it would just be the normal pot-luck snack table where everyone brings a little something and everyone eats what they want.

From Susan again. I think generally Halloweenie stuff is best and easiest for all those who are not professional chefs like me. However, I will probably make food that goes with whatever theme we choose. If I don't people will think there is something wrong with me.
