Was the plan to camp only on the weekend? Not Wed -> Thu -> Fri -> Sat -> Sun? I had planned on coming out Wed night with di, but not staying overnight, then camping out thursday night, and staying all day friday with Kitra. (friday is day off). I work the rest so squeezing around the schedule. No worries, even if I can't camp, I'll come over during the week when I would have camped. If it ends up being just the weekend, let me know and I'll see what I can swap around.

I'd love to go, but I'll be out of town from 3/11-3/26. By all means, don't plan around me. However, if the dates happen to fall outside of my out-of-town time, then I'll see what I can do

It's not looking like I can make it either. There is too much going on at the shop for me to be away, and with no one to cover for me that would be rather irresponsible esp since customers are expecting to pick up their gear for their trips by saturday.

hehe. I spent one night there. Had a good time:) Though the weather was pretty miserable. Then again, the beauty of miserable weather is that it keeps the park clear of other campers and you have the whole glorious place to yourself:) hehehe. The trick is coming prepared with the right gear to face the cold and rain. With that, you're set and its really not that bad. I was happy with my tent, and was pretty warm with the digs I brought. I do need an improvement for a bed situation though. My old soft mat thing is over 10 years old and doesn't hold air now:( And its made for a single person. I'll be shopping for something new so far as a camping matress. Kitra had a good time too I believe, with the exception of lack of good footwear to handle the muddy parts. My cloak kept her mostly warm, though I think she was a little surprised at the chill factor at bedtime. Again.. I need to improve my camping bedding. Beyond the cold, the company was wonderful. Scarfing eggs and bacon and that amazing camp muffins for breakfast was awesome. Dogs over the fire wask good too:) My only regret was Fade getting doused by a skunk. LoL. Puppy=0, Skunk=1 ...bua ha ha ha. If I'd had more time there, I wish I could have gotten to see the lake again during the day. I did check it once at night... beautiful, calm, icy cold, spooky in the most perfect way. I'm looking forward to when the boys are a little older, and we can hike out together I don't think any of us are ready now for that...but in a few years, we can train and do it together:)

The foodage was most nom. The company was most pleasing. ;D The weather was most foul. I would do it again... in the summer, or at least in a more sane weather condition. I don't hold up well in the cold. I am a hibernating creature.

It never got down to freezing... Always stayed at least 2 or 3 degrees above. But beyond that everyone missed one hell of a weekend. more to come when I'm at a computer.
