No paper invitations were sent, but I finally posted a MySpace event invite. Spread the word.
Here is what the MySpace invite says:
It's the Roarin' 20's. Prohibition is in effect and gangsters rule the streets, trafficking alcohol and gunning down rival gangsters. Now you an your fellow gangsters have been trust into the dark underbelly of this world. A new speakeasy is opening and everyone want in on it. A meeting has been called to sort it out. The survivors will rule the night.

While not quite a murder mystery party, this event should add a little action to your Valentine Day activities. The setting will be a 20's speakeasy and the guests will be gangsters representing different factions in the city. While varying from the historical 20's event that lead to the name, guest will still be able to gun down their enemies. Bring your zoot suit and weaponry (nerf guns preferred, but any representation of a gun will work - NO REAL GUNS). Also, come with your gangster name, such as Mumbles or Johnny the Rocket. There will be some alcohol, but you might want to BYOB (plenty of rum and vodka will be there, but limited amounts of beer). There will also be some snacks that your would normally find at a bar - pretzels, peanuts, etc. However, you can bring extra snacks if you want. We will start around 9:00 and go until everyone is dead - winner takes all! As for the evening's activities... We will split into gangs (from random draws) and then plan out a series of "hits" to pick off your enemies. It will be up to your gang to plan the hits, but keep in mind that any overt action may land you in jail as there will be police patrolling the area. If you get shot or caught, you are out of the game (but can keep drinking!). Come, drink, kill, and be killed! Can you survive?
