Firefly is awesome! Maybe it is time we watched it all again. I would love to watch the whole series again. Anyone else interested?

I'd be down for that, but time is tough.. my Tue-thursdays are completely hosed. I would need either a monday or friday gig.. and really, probably only monday would work reliably. BUT...I'm not opposed to missing it, so long as more get to see it that haven't seen it before. IE, new to the series peeps get priority on setting time, than my butt which has already seen it:)

that was very confusing. but ok. my schedule is a little whacked, if it's a whole series isn't that going to take like a long time? wouldn't a weekend be better?

For a while we were getting together once a week and watching a couple of episodes. It started with lost, then firefly, then a couple of movies or games, and it tapered off with Heros. There is another series, Eureka?, that Chris and Mandy were saying we should watch. Basically, we would get together, hang out, talk, watch a couple of episodes, then wrap it up. We were doing it Tuesday nights, starting around 7:00 and ending around 10:00. It was a lot of fun. Anyway, Firefly is a great SciFi series with an old west feel, and really well done. I think there are around 14 episodes and the movie, so the whole series takes about 3 - 4 months to watch if you take it a couple of episodes a week. If that won't work, then you should at least borrow it. We all liked it.

But that is why we only watched 2 45 minute episodes a night.

It's a very good series, and I'm not generally a fan of sci-fi. On that same note, the new Battlestar Galactica is just as good as Firefly, believe it or not. Different ways, of course, not so comical and more dire. Great affects, good characters and plot twists that come out of the woodwork.

ok ok, twist my arm there Garrett! (Just not the right one, I fell monday and it's really sore). My guild has reorged our raid nights to Mon, Tues Friday so I can do Thurs or Weds nights a little after 7ish. Or weekends. Or you can all pitch in and help buy me a $1,200 lap top and I'll just raid while you watch the show.

I loved the Firefly series. What a downer it didn't continue, and the movie didn't follow the timeline/social structure of the series. I'd be down with the MMO. I've been jonesing for a good SciFi MMO since Earth and Beyond got ganked by Sony. (loosers). And no i never did or will play SWG. I played Eve, but the quest system lacked too much by pulling from a vanilla hat of repeated-theme quests for me to be totally into it.

yeah, eve had potential...and at the technical level may have been a 2nd generation MMO...but as far as gameplay, it was a first gen. IE..I don't even count SWG as having contributed to a sci fi MMO genre. haha
