So, I was thinking it would be fun to have a 'Roarin 20's' theme at one of our mystery parties. Considering that Valentines day is on a saturday this year, what better opportunity do we have than to tie in the infamous St. Valentines Day Massarce?
Normally we try to leave Valentines day alone for people to celebrate how they wish, but is there is enough interest, we can host a dinner (italian of course to go with the mob theme) and mystery party.
So, let me know what you think... Would it be fun to get all dressed up like a 20's gangster and survive the night or do you already have plans to spend with your valentine that night?

hehe.. the theme of the murder mystery needs to be teams of 'gangsters' as opposed to the everyone out for themselves.. hehehe. wonder if thats even plausable.. Maybe two big gangs, plus a police force, and a public group. some possible dynamics: public (buyers of alcohol, but don't want murders, could be pro/con gangster). Police (trying to catch the mobsters, or could be crooked cops), Gangs (mob boss, transporters, bodyguards, gunmen)
Each role could have a minor skill set and limit of can/can't do.
Goals could be: Police (catch X number mobsters, with bonus points based on rank in mob). Mob (Kill X number of enemy mobsters, subvert/bribe X number of officers, sell X amount of booze. Neg points for killing lawman), Public (negative 1 points to any team that kills a public person. points for completing an booze purchase if pro booze. points for mobsters put in jail if con booze.)
something like that? would have some balancing to figure out. through how points are awarded, totals to win, win/lose conditions, and percentages of players on each team.
thoughts?

I like the idea. I think we can work off of this - have some kind of team ganster event. Very cool.
